aproclivity: (Take me back)
*sigh* Today has been a very long, long day. Last night was pretty awesome though, went to the movies on a Friday night and hung around for a little after. That was awesome, being as we haven't been to Cinemark as a group since...Christmas, maybe? Something around then; it's been awhile. But I do think I scared my Senate friends by laughing my ass through a good portion of Grindhouse.

Anyway, I got home at like 3:30 and ended up going to bed at five. My sister then proceeds to come in and wake me up. My nephew has been sick for a month, and has been in and out of the hospitial for most of that. My sister-in-law has known for awhile what his diagonis is, but hasn't wanted to tell my mom because she doesn't want to panic her. So, instead my brother who is in jail told her.

He has aplastic anemia and needs a bone marrow transplant. He just turned four. So now we all go in to get checked, and sadly as much as I love him as my nephew, he's not my bio-nephew. So they're going to check my other nephew and see. All I can do now is pray that Connor is a match.

And then to make matters worse and to make me feel like an entirely worthless human being, I feel awful because unless I end up living on campus, I can't attend MH. I have bad luck with cars and have had to get rides in and or walk for at least half of every semester I've had so far. To get to MH from my house? Walk down to bus stop" 2 miles and about half an hour. Bus from there to Holyoke: 40 minutes. Bus from Holyoke to Northampton: 30 minutes. 2 mile walk to Smith: 30 minutes. Bus from Smith to Hamsphire or UMASS: 40 or 50 minutes. Bus from Hampshire or UMASS to MH: 45 or 60 minutes. This is a one way trip. 240 minutes. Four hours if every thing is on time. We're talking an 8 hour commute a day.

*sigh*
